What could you discover by mapping gene regulation in tissue?
Bring us a biological question your current data have not fully explained. The winning project receives $20,000 in White Glove services. Finalists with compelling projects receive 30% off kits or services.
Awards at a glance
Every complete application receives a complimentary experimental design consultation with an AtlasXomics scientist.
Finalists with compelling projects receive 30% off eligible kits or services within five business days of applying. Valid on orders placed by December 31, 2026.
If a colleague who names you as their referrer wins the grand prize, you receive $10,000 in White Glove services. If they receive a research award, you receive 30% off too.
Choose the approach that fits your question
Human and mouse tissues are supported. We can help you choose an assay and decide between kits and services.
Kits
Run assays in your own lab.
Build a focused pilot around your research
We welcome investigators in academia and industry with a clear question about chromatin modification, gene accessibility, or gene regulatory programs in native tissue architecture.
Example questions are illustrative. Bring your own.
Treatment response and resistance
Are distinct regulatory states associated with tumor regions that respond differently to therapy?
Cellular niches
Do populations with similar RNA profiles have different regulatory features depending on their location?
Disease progression
Which accessibility or histone modification patterns distinguish adjacent regions with different pathological states?
Cell-state transitions
Where do regulatory differences coincide with changes in cell identity?
Apply online
The application takes about 15 minutes. You will be asked for:
Optional referral field: name the colleague who referred you and provide their institutional email, with their permission. One referrer per application; self-referrals are not eligible.
What reviewers look for
Share the opportunity. Support your own research.
Know a colleague with a compelling question? Forward this page and ask them to name you in their application.
Send it to a colleague whose question fits spatial epigenomics.
In the optional referral field, with your institutional email. You can be named by more than one applicant.
Submit a brief project description and sample details for technical feasibility review.
A separate competitive application is encouraged but not required. Referrals do not influence scientific review or winner selection.
Terms
Assay quantities are approximate and depend on product selection and project scope.
Eligibility
Open to researchers at academic, nonprofit, clinical, and commercial institutions. AtlasXomics employees, contractors, and distributors are not eligible. One application per applicant. Awards are available where AtlasXomics can ship kits or receive samples.
Redemption
Grand prize and referral award samples must be received by March 31, 2027. Research award discounts apply to orders placed by December 31, 2026. Awards have no cash value and are non-transferable.
Award delivery
Grand prize and referral awards are delivered as White Glove services, including sequencing, bioinformatics processing, and data delivery as specified in the award plan. Research award discounts apply to both kits and services. Eligible products and redemption terms for research awards will be defined in each award offer.
Data and publication
You retain ownership of your samples and data and are free to publish. Award recipients are asked to acknowledge AtlasXomics in resulting publications and presentations. We would also welcome the opportunity to feature your work in a case study, webinar, or conference presentation, on your timeline and with your approval.
